Laverno Stool

The Laverno Stool is a retro-inspired swivel stool with a steel pedestal base and an upholstered seat and seat back. A thick round cushion sits atop a single column, a curved upholstered back pad is held by a slender offset support, and a round foot ring and disc base complete the look, recalling classic diner and soda fountain seating with a more refined finish.

Available at bar, counter and ADA heights, the Laverno can run the full length of a bar and its accessible section with one consistent design. Shown with a bronze-toned frame and cognac upholstery, it can go warm and classic or bright and playful depending on the metal and upholstery you choose.

Built for commercial use

The Laverno has a welded steel frame rather than bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. The swivel seat has an auto-return so stools line up neatly at the bar. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is backed by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Finish Option A): a wide palette of powder coat colors from the Color Finish Series in matte or gloss, Metal Finish Series options such as matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and Premium Finishes including dark bronze, antique brass, brushed copper and rust patina.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): a range of faux leathers in warm browns, blacks, greys, blues and teals, including vintage and deluxe textures.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

Fabric (Fabric Option B): velvets in sand, rust, blues, teal, fern green, black and goldenrod, plus performance fabrics rated 100,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

For commercial use we recommend specifying upholstery rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage required. See our upholstery double rubs guide for more detail.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
