Nash Full Back Upholstered Chair

The Nash Full Back Upholstered Chair is the most cushioned of the Nash dining chairs. It keeps the square solid wood legs and low H-stretcher of the original, but the back is fully upholstered from the seat up to the top rail, framed by the wood posts, and paired with a padded upholstered seat. The result is a softer, quieter chair with the same crisp, Scandinavian-inspired outline.

The larger upholstered back gives designers more room for texture and color. A woven blue fabric on natural oak feels relaxed and residential in the best sense, while leather on walnut leans toward a steakhouse or club dining room. It works alongside the all-wood and partially upholstered Nash chairs, so you can vary comfort levels across a space while keeping one look.

Built for commercial use

The Nash uses mortise-and-tenon joinery with very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory. The frame carries a 3-year structural warranty, and finish and upholstery are covered for 1 year from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option B): American walnut, American white oak, North American ash and European beech, plus black painted ash (open pore), beech with walnut stain, and ash with light or dark walnut stain.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, from classic blacks, browns and grays to rich cognacs, greens and blues, including distressed premium hides.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): standard and deluxe faux leathers in a broad palette of neutrals, browns, blues, greens and warm accent colors.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a wide range of contract fabrics and tweeds, including Fighter (130,000 double rubs) and Medley (100,000 double rubs) performance fabrics and other options rated 72,000–80,000 double rubs.

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
