Ralston Chair

The Ralston Chair is a wingback lounge chair with a mid-century attitude. Its tall back flares out into soft wings at the shoulders, then sweeps down into low, rounded arms, and the whole shell sits on four tapered solid wood legs that splay outward. A separate upholstered seat cushion invites a contrasting fabric, as shown with a plaid seat set against a green body.

With a low 15" seat and a deep 22.25" x 22" seat, the Ralston is made for settling in, whether by a lobby fireplace, in a steakhouse lounge or in a quiet corner of a club. Mix leathers, faux leathers and fabrics to make it a statement piece or keep it tonal for a calmer room.

Built for commercial use

The Ralston has a solid wood frame built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option B): American walnut, American white oak, North American ash, European beech, black painted ash (open pore), beechwood with walnut stain, and ashwood with light or dark walnut stain.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, including distressed and richly colored hides.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a broad selection of commercial fabrics, tweeds and performance weaves, many rated from 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): a wide range of standard and deluxe faux leathers in neutrals, browns, blues, greens and glazed finishes.

COM: customer's own material is accepted (minimums may apply).

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
