Squar Chair

The Squar Chair is a crisp, architectural lounge chair built around an open rectangular metal frame. Slim square tubing outlines the sides, arms and base like a box drawn in a single line, and a deep upholstered seat and button-tufted back sit inside it. The contrast between the hard-edged frame and the soft, cushioned body gives the chair a confident modern look.

A wide 23" seat at a relaxed 15.5" height makes it a comfortable lounge piece, while the open frame keeps it visually light in lobbies and lounges. The frame can be finished in a custom powder coat, so it can disappear in black or become an accent color, and the upholstery is offered in leather, fabric or your own material.

Built for commercial use

The Squar Chair has a welded metal frame rather than bolted connections, so it stays rigid in busy public spaces. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is backed by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, from classic onyx, ivory and chestnut to richer and distressed tones such as cognac, bourbon, emerald and harbor blue.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a broad range of wovens, tweeds and textured fabrics in neutrals and color, many rated from 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

For commercial use, specify fabrics rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted; this chair requires 2 yards of COM or 25 square feet of COL. Our upholstery double rubs guide explains the ratings.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
