Thurman Chair

The Thurman Chair is a sleek, compact side chair with a slim steel frame and soft upholstered surfaces. A curved, padded back band wraps the sitter at mid-back height, floating on thin uprights above a cushioned seat. Straight, slender legs give the Thurman a refined, almost jewelry-like base that keeps the chair visually light.

The contrast between the plush upholstery and the fine metal frame makes the Thurman a polished fit for steakhouses, hotel restaurants and cocktail lounges. Upholster it in leather for a classic, durable finish, faux leather for easy care, or fabric for warmth and color.

Built for commercial use

The Thurman's steel frame is welded, not bolted, so it stays rigid through daily service. It is tested to 400 lbs, tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, including rich distressed hides.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): an extensive palette of standard and deluxe faux leathers in neutrals, earth tones, blues and greens.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a broad selection of wovens, tweeds and performance textiles, many rated 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

COM: Customer's own material is accepted, and we will provide the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
