The Sonoma Arm Chair is a compact, tailored dining arm chair built around a slim welded steel frame. Thin steel legs rise into straight steel arms topped with solid wood arm caps, and a squared upholstered seat and back float within the frame. The result is clean and architectural from every angle, with just enough wood and upholstery to feel warm at the table.
At 22" wide, it fits comfortably at dining tables where a full lounge-style arm chair would crowd the room, while the upholstered seat and back keep guests comfortable through a long meal. It is part of our Steakhouse Collection and coordinates with the Sonoma Stool, so bar and dining areas can share the same look. Specify the frame in powder coat or brushed brass to match the room.
The Sonoma Arm Chair frame is welded steel, not bolted, so the joints stay tight under daily use. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is backed by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.
Plan on about 24" per seat at tables, or 26" for a roomier feel with arms. Check that the 26" arm height clears your table apron so the chair can tuck in. See our restaurant seating layout guide for more.
