About the Thorsen Chair with Cord Seat
The Thorsen Chair with Cord Seat pairs a Scandinavian-inspired solid wood frame with a hand-woven natural cord seat. A wide, gently curved back rail spans the rear posts above an open back, and the frame's tapered legs are tied together with side and front stretchers. The woven cord adds warm, organic texture against the wood, giving the chair a crafted, heirloom quality.
Light in look yet sturdy in build, the Thorsen with Cord Seat brings a relaxed, natural feel to cafes, bistros, wine bars and lodge-style dining rooms. It is part of our Alpine Lodge Collection and is also available as the upholstered-seat Thorsen Chair.

Built for commercial use
The Thorsen's solid wood frame is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment.

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
