Conrad Bar Stool

The Conrad Bar Stool takes the classic café bentwood silhouette and renders it entirely in steel. A tall looped back with an inner hoop rises from a round seat, and the four legs are joined by a ring footrest, the shape that has signaled "bistro" for well over a century, now in a frame built to take years of bar-rail traffic.

Because it is all steel with a powder coat finish, the Conrad can be used outdoors as well as in, so a single stool can run from an indoor bar to a patio rail. It comes in any color from our Metal Option A range or a custom powder coat color, from quiet charcoal or gunmetal to the bright orange shown. It coordinates with the Conrad Chair and the Conrad Chair with Wood Seat for a matched dining room and bar.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded, not bolted, so there are no fasteners to loosen as guests lean back and swing in and out. The Conrad is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment. It is rated for outdoor use, which makes it a good fit for patios and rooftop bars.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): a broad palette of powder coat finishes, including the Color Finish Series (matte and gloss colors from black, white and charcoal to red, orange, yellow, mint, aqua and midnight blue, plus shades such as seafoam, steel blue and brick red), the Metal Finish Series (matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized) and Premium Finishes (dark bronze, rust patina, matte red rust, brushed copper and antique brass). Custom powder coat colors are also available.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
