The Larsen Arm Chair with Cord Seat pairs the Larsen's sculptural wood frame with a natural woven cord seat. The curved top rail wraps around the back and flows into the arms, and the slender tapered legs keep the chair light, while the woven cord adds texture and an honest, crafted feel.
The woven seat has a little give, making it comfortable without upholstery, and the natural cord develops character as it is used. In natural oak or ash it reads as relaxed and Scandinavian; in walnut it feels richer and more classic. It coordinates with the upholstered Larsen Arm Chair for rooms that mix seat types.
The Larsen is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is backed by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.
Plan about 24" to 26" per seat at tables. Because the arms sit at 27.25", check that they clear your table apron, or let the chairs rest beside the table. Our restaurant seating layout guide covers spacing and aisles.
Wood (Wood Option B): American walnut, American white oak, North American ash and European beech, plus black painted ash (open pore), ash with a light or dark walnut stain, and beech with a walnut stain.
Seat (Cord Option A): natural woven cord.
