The Lucera Chair Stitched pairs a softly sculpted upholstered shell with a light, splayed solid wood base. The seat and back read as one continuous form: the back curves gently around the sitter and flares slightly at the shoulders, and crisp vertical channel stitching runs up its face to give the piece a tailored, mid-century feel. Four tapered wood legs angle outward for a stance that looks relaxed but stays planted.
It is a comfortable dining side chair for long meals, with a generous 17" x 17.5" seat and a back that supports without feeling stiff. The Lucera family also includes metal-base chairs and bar and counter stools in stitched and tufted versions, so a dining room, bar and lounge can share one look. Build it in American walnut, white oak, ash or beech, wrapped in fine leather, faux leather or fabric.
The solid wood frame is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections, so it stays tight through years of daily service. The Lucera Chair is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.
Plan about 24" per seat at the table. Our restaurant seating layout guide covers aisle widths and table spacing.
Wood (Wood Option B): North American ash, European beech, American white oak and American walnut, plus black painted ash (open pore), beechwood with walnut stain, and ashwood with a light or dark walnut stain.
Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, from onyx, ivory and chestnut to cognac, espresso and hunter green, plus a distressed series in tones like whiskey, bourbon and rust.
Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): standard and deluxe faux leathers in a broad palette of neutrals, browns, greens and blues, including vintage, pebbled and glazed finishes.
Fabric (Fabric Option A): a large library of commercial fabrics and tweeds, many rated from 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs, in grays, browns, blues, greens, reds and golds.
For commercial use we recommend specifying upholstery rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted (minimums may apply), and we will provide the yardage. Our upholstery double rubs guide explains the ratings.
