Madden Stool

The Madden Stool brings the Madden Chair's tailored look to the bar. A rectangular upholstered back with wood framing stands on slim metal uprights above a cushioned seat, and four slender legs are braced by stretchers that double as a footrest. The lines are clean and upright, with a mid-century feel that works with both warm and modern palettes.

The frame is offered in black, white, polished stainless steel or brass, or a custom powder coat color, and the stool comes in bar and counter heights. Its 18.5" width keeps seating efficient along a bar, and it pairs naturally with the Madden Chair in the dining room.

Built for commercial use

The metal frame is welded, not bolted, for strength in busy bars. The stool is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Frame: black, white, polished stainless steel or brass, with custom powder coat colors available (minimums may apply).

Wood (Wood Option B): North American ash, European beech, American white oak and American walnut, plus black painted ash (open pore), beechwood with walnut stain, and ashwood with a light or dark walnut stain.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, from onyx, ivory and chestnut to cognac, espresso and hunter green, plus a distressed series in tones like whiskey, bourbon and rust.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): standard and deluxe faux leathers in a broad palette of neutrals, browns, greens and blues, including vintage, pebbled and glazed finishes.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a large library of commercial fabrics and tweeds, many rated from 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs, in grays, browns, blues, greens, reds and golds.

For commercial use we recommend specifying upholstery rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted (minimums may apply), and we will provide the yardage. Our upholstery double rubs guide explains the ratings.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
