Miller Arm Chair

The Miller Arm Chair takes the classic mid-century school chair and gives it arms and a little more presence. A slender powder-coated steel frame carries a curved, molded wood veneer back and a matching veneer seat, while the rear legs flare outward and taper in the way that made this silhouette an icon. Slim steel arms sweep from the back posts down to the front legs, giving guests a place to rest their elbows without adding visual bulk.

Because the frame can be finished in a long list of standard colors or a custom powder coat, the Miller can read as warm and industrial in dark bronze and walnut, or bright and playful in a saturated color. It is part of a full Miller family of side chairs, upholstered versions and bar and counter stools, so a dining room, bar and lounge can share one consistent look.

Built for commercial use

The Miller Arm Chair is built on a welded steel frame rather than a bolted one, so it stays tight through years of daily service. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. Like all of our seating, it ships fully assembled from the factory. The frame carries a 3-year structural warranty, and the finish is covered for 1 year from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Finish A): a broad powder coat range that includes our Color Finish Series (matte or gloss black, white, charcoal, red, greens, blues, yellows and more), Metal Finish Series options such as matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and Premium Finishes including dark bronze, rust patina, brushed copper, antique brass and matte red rust. Custom powder coat colors are also available.

Wood veneer (Wood Option C): white oak, walnut, red oak, oak, black oak, antiqued willow, antiqued rubber and antiqued maple.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
