Thesby Side Chair

The Thesby Side Chair combines a slim steel base with plush upholstery and warm wood accents. Channel-stitched seat and back cushions are framed by solid wood side panels that wrap the back, while a fine-lined steel base with thin legs and low stretchers keeps the chair light on its feet. The layered materials give it a tailored, boutique-hotel look.

Armless and compact, the Thesby Side Chair fits comfortably at two-tops and banquettes while still offering deep, cushioned comfort. Specify the base in a powder coat or premium metal finish such as antique brass, pick a wood tone for the side panels, and upholster in leather or faux leather. It coordinates with the Thesby Arm Chair and Thesby Lounge Chair.

Built for commercial use

The Thesby's steel base is welded, not bolted, for lasting rigidity, and the solid wood side panels add warmth without sacrificing strength. It is tested to 400 lbs, tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): Color Finish Series powder coats in a wide palette, Metal Finish Series options such as matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and Premium Finishes including dark bronze, antique brass, brushed copper, rust patina and matte red rust. A custom powder coat color is also available.

Wood (Wood Option A): teak (unfinished or oiled), oak, medium brown stained ash, European beech, chestnut brown ash, brushed antique cherry ash, natural ash, antiqued ash and American walnut.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): a broad range of standard and deluxe faux leathers, from vintage and pebbled finishes to classic solids.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

COM: Customer's own material is accepted (minimums may apply), and we will provide the yardage.

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
