Emerson Stool

The Emerson Stool takes the airy wire-frame design of the Emerson Chair up to bar and counter height. Fine steel wire is drawn into horizontal lines that curve around the back and sweep down into the arms, forming a light, see-through shell that keeps a long outdoor bar from feeling crowded. Tall solid teak legs and a steel footrest ring complete the frame, and a seat cushion keeps guests comfortable through happy hour and beyond.

The cushion is available with optional quick dry foam in Sunbrella or other outdoor performance fabric, and the welded frame is powder coated in a range of smooth and textured finishes. The Emerson Stool coordinates with the Emerson Chair and the woven Emerson Graph models, and it is part of our Al Fresco, Coastal and Rooftop, and Lobby and Lounge collections.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded, not bolted, and paired with solid teak legs suited to outdoor use. As part of our Al Fresco line it is UV-resistant and built for year-round outdoor use. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. The stool ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option D): smooth and textured powder coats including white, taupe gray, mink brown, medium gray, brown caramel, black satin, black and anthracite bronze.

Cushion fabric (Fabric Option C): Sunbrella and other outdoor performance fabrics.

For commercial use we recommend specifying upholstery rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage for your material. Our upholstery double rubs guide explains what to look for.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
