The Quentin Stool pairs a plush barrel-style seat with a lighter, airy frame. The upholstered seat curves up into a low, wraparound back, which is carried on slim metal back supports that rise from the seat like a row of spindles. Below, four solid wood legs splay gently to a metal foot ring, and the seat swivels so guests can turn toward the bar or the conversation without shifting the stool.
Shown in cognac upholstery over natural wood with a brass-tone foot rest, the Quentin brings the warmth of a club chair to bar and counter height. It is available as a bar stool and as a counter stool, and it can be finished in a wide range of woods, metal colors, leathers, faux leathers and fabrics to suit everything from a steakhouse bar to a hotel lobby lounge.
The Quentin has a solid wood frame built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections, paired with metal supports and a metal foot rest that take the daily scuffs of bar service. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. Like all of our seating, it ships fully assembled from the factory, and it carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.
Bar Stool (QUEN-BS):
Counter Stool (QUEN-CS):
Use the bar stool with bar tops around 40" to 42" high and the counter stool with counters around 34" to 36". Because the seat is generous and swivels, allow about 26" to 28" per stool rather than the usual 24". See our bar vs counter stool height guide and bar stool spacing guide for more.
Metal (Metal Option A): a broad palette of powder coat colors from the Color Finish Series, metal finishes such as matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and premium finishes including antique brass, brushed copper, dark bronze and rust patina. Custom powder coat colors are also available.
Wood (Wood Option A): teak (unfinished or oiled), oak, American walnut, European beech, and ash in natural, antiqued, chestnut brown, brushed antique cherry and medium brown stains.
Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): a wide range of standard and deluxe faux leathers, from vintage and pebbled textures to solid neutrals and deep blues and greens.
Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.
Fabric (Fabric Option B): velvets in eight colors plus durable woven performance fabrics rated from 100,000 to 130,000 double rubs.
For commercial seating we recommend fabrics rated 75,000 to 100,000 double rubs or higher. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage. Learn more in our upholstery double rubs guide.
